Wondering how I would attach the rust pieces – the background needs softening a bit with more texture.
So excited about this little gem of rusty wire with old netting
but how to mount it
and how do I treat the background, perhaps soft watery greys.
I think it hints at jellyfish.
Miss E and I went to Charmouth to do our Beach Clean.
We also gathered some pieces of driftwood to make a Beach Clean mobile with.
This is the 3rd Charmouth Beach Clean I’ve done.
Playing with arranging bits and pieces in different ways.
All pieces collected on Charmouth Beach, Dorset in July 2016
Looking towards Lyme Regis
The beach looks relatively clean until one tunes into searching for the plastics lurking in the pebbles
and trapped between rocks
Most people on the beach were fossil hunting. A woman, on holiday from Norfolk and her husband, asked me what I was collecting and I told them about the 2 Minute Beach Clean, we had a lovely long chat and they both said they would bring a bag with them next time and do the same.
washed and laid out to dry
Miss E and I think we will make a face and a flower from each Beach Clean before making other pictures, assemblages and sculptures.
Looking East from the car park and then from the sea defences.
A cobble of jetsam
The haul, soaking in rain water.
Fun with photographs.
